Who we are

Celes aims to separate itself from most mercenary companies by providing more than just pure brawn. While most within our employ are experienced mercenaries, many are also passionate advocates of disciplines beyond combat, such as research, medicine, investigation, and diplomacy. Our members are known to leverage their knowledge in these fields, casting an inquisitive eye upon each situation to formulate the best solutions for our clients' problems.Our founder desired to build something more than just a mercenary company. More than a group of sellswords who simply follow the letter of contract and care little for aught else. With this desire, she gathered many who shared her values, and created Celes with a goal to always be mindful, and never let apathy or unchecked bloodlust guide our mission.As such, Celes is uniquely equipped to solve complex problems and field longer contracts, far beyond mere monster hunting or bandit culling. Our expertise has attracted the attenion of many patrons, from Nobles to foreign nations, and any in between who prefer surgical precision and deft hands over blunt might. We have mediated conflicts, resolved unrest, retrieved goods from dangerous regions, and more.

As a byproduct of working so closely with large entities, Celes has become involved in a web of intrigue, involving many clients past and present. Celes recognizes that most organizations focus on their own interests, and careful navigation through and around their true intentions is part and parcel of our work. Though this may lead to clashes with former sponsors, we ultimately aim to satisfy our clients' needs, while doing as much good for the world as we can.And for our members, Celes is also a place that they recognize as their solace. Throughout the many years our founding members have known each other, this sentiment has remained unchanged. We take care of our own, and vow to never abandon one another, whether in times of need, or the simple trials of everyday life.

A collective founded by Garlean refugees who aim to not let their history and science be forgotten to time, constantly seeking new ways to further develop their knowledge and assist those who depend on their technology to survive.

The Quoni Liberation Army represents the once oppressed people of Southern Ilsabard who had their culture forcibly taken away and destroyed by their previous Garlean masters, and aims to restore their standard of living and upkeep the peace in the region through the blessings of a great southern queendom.

A small community of hingan expatriates and their descendants living under the shaded canopies of the oakwood in Vylbrand, isolating themselves from their neighbors with their own language, customs and practices and offering only a minimum of contact through commerce where they peddle their unique goods and wondrous remedies.

We are a community of roleplayers that focus on depth of storytelling, and fostering meaningful connections between characters through longform storylines. All members are encouraged to add their own flavor to our stories. We believe that fostering group activity deepens character bonds and makes for meaningful roleplay, so there is an expectation that members attend weekly events or social gatherings at least semi-regularly.We are looking for grounded, "realistic" characters that would find themselves seeking employment in a company specializing in unique problem solving, whether they are typical mercenaries, researchers or scientists with years of experience, or fresh-faced novices seeking opportunity. And regardless of occupation, our members are expected to strive for good, whatever that good may be.
